Sherlock Holmes is a dairy farmer in Cumbria living with her lover, journalist Irene Adler. Having overcome their troubles in the past, their life is a satisfying one. That is, until the spring of 2001 when foot and mouth disease strikes the UK. Spreading through the livestock population like wildfire, it shatters the world these two have built for themselves. Enter Captain Joanne Watson, veteran of the Kosovo War, drafted in to help organise the eradication efforts. In a land filled with smoke, flames and gunfire, maybe it is possible for her to make a difference to these people from whom sheâs helped take so much. But is there ever such a thing as moving on from such a trauma? And is recovery even possible in the face of so much bloodshed?
Dr. Joan Watson is trans, Sherlock is a girlâs name thank you very much, and they move in together. Â Joan goes on hormones, comes out, and kicks more arse than any one person should probably want to. Â Sherlock is way more supportive than most ever expected her to be, tries not to stick her foot in her mouth most of the time, and fails completely at being subtle. Â They both eat far to much take out, have a row a frankly ridiculous time of the morning, and (inevitably) fall in love.
John and Sherlock meet in the lesbian section of a gay bookstore and become friends. Sherlock needs a flatmate so she invites John to move in. John helps Sherlock in her consulting detective work and also works at a clinic as a GP. After sharing a flat for several months, John finally acts on her feelings toward Sherlock. Sherlock canât believe that John accepts her totally as she is, without reservation. Also has backstory of Sherlockâs first love, with a girl who rejects her when he finds out sheâs trans.
A 34-year-old Joan Watson, who grew up in a small town in the Midlands, returns home after having spent 14 years in the city where she trained to become a nurse during WWII. Now that both her parents are dead and her brother has settled down in London to work as a lawyer, Joan has decided to sell her fatherâs farm.
Soon, she has to realise that returning to her roots isnât as painless and uncomplicated as she had anticipated. She is confronted with unpleasant memories she had long buried at the back of her mind. If selling the farm and battling with her demons wasnât difficult enough in itself, a 30-year-old murder case is resurrected and stirs up conflicts within the small community.
Then Joan is confronted with Sherlock Holmes who owns the biggest estate in the county. She thinks she can solve the murder and put things back to the way they were. When she enlists Joanâs help, Joan follows her willingly wherever Sherlock chooses to go.
The setting is inspired by Peter Stricklandâs âThe Duke of Burgundyâ.
Sherly is a new student in a high school. Sheâs really quiet. She cuts herself and she usually gets high.
Until one day, when she meets Joan. Could Joan save her before itâs too late? Itâll be called â(Wonât you) save me?â (in Spanish, Âż(no) me salvas?).
A femjohnlock au of the 1999 film The Mummy. Jane Watson served with her regiment in the battle at the supposedly mythical city of Hamunaptra, barely escaping it alive, but now sheâs washed up in Cairo, with no money and no way out of the prison she got herself put in for getting into a nasty bar fight. Enter Sherlock Holmes, a librarian whose sister raided the gambling den and pub Jane had been frequenting and confiscated something Jane had taken from Hamunaptra. The Holmes sisters arrive unexpectedly to get Jane out of prison under the agreement that sheâll take them to Hamunaptra, and presumably whatever secrets lie there. From there, though, things get a lot more complicated - running into another expedition led by a bastard of a man from her regiment followed by Sherlock accidentally raising the dead and nearly causing what feels like the end of the world sort of complicated.
Are we allowed only one submission, or is it okay to send more?
I'd say only one submission per artists. Â If chosen, each artist gets their own sticker page, and I don't think we'd have room for each artist to have two pages.
