AVA Topic Proposal
My two project preferences are and advocacy website and a research poster. I think those two would be a good source in getting my information out to my audience of nurses. The issue that i will be addressing is about the harsh events nurses go through during their long shifts and how it can affect their health in both the short and long term, This is a problem because most of the time nurses are too busy taking care of their patients while the tend to forget to care for their own health. Like mentioned before, the targeted audience is mainly for nurses, but it can really be towards anyone in the medical field who deals with caring for patients and working long shifts. Other than hoping to bring awareness to nurses about this, i hope that seeing facts and statistics i will provide for this project, they will be motivated to care for themselves and take action in finding a solution to balance both work and maintain a healthy lifestyle that way they will not have to worry about the short and long term effects it can cause.
