@taylorswift @ellendegeneres Please share the below spread the word. Let the world hear Ava’s voice and let’s band together to make a difference: “Imagine walking out of your friend’s house holding your child’s hand down a short driveway to make entry into your car to go home. The only thing is out of nowhere comes a speeding car and hits you and your child. So fast, yet so slow. You and your child fly into the air and land onto the pavement. You get up and have to get down on your hands and knees because you cannot locate your child as your scream out their name. Your pain is irrelevant as you crawl to your child’s aid. A fun night tragically became a nightmare in an instant. A child holding her mother’s hand was unable to ever make her way home. Can you imagine this happening to you? Can there be justice served in the case of Ava Campbell’s death? Can her families pain be diminished by judicial sentence of the accused? I am sure that there can be nothing done of satisfactory. Ava will never be able to dance on this earth again. Her mother will never forget the last moments she grasped her daughters hand as she battled for her life. Her father will never forget her beautiful smile. The world should never forget her amazing heart and soul which were sadly ripped away from us far too soon. We lose young ones every day. Some in battles against illness, and some in tragic situations. Those that can be prevented are the ones we need to fight for. Ava did not have to lose her life that day. A careless, selfish choice was made by an individual that day. A choice to drink and drive. Please keep in mind this choice was made by individual who was under age. And not only that this individual had three other underage drinking slights against him. One that was just commited under a month prior to that tragic night where Ava lost her life. The question is why was this person, this underage, 3 strikes prior person able to commit this crime? Are our laws so weak and bland that people hold no light to them. That people feel oh well I can still do what I want. Are we allowing criminals to take over? Now is the time we take a good hard look at the way children are being raised. Now is the time we take a look at the consequences that are in place for our actions. In America the land of the free should that therefore mean no holds bar? Should that mean to be punished you must really make a bad mistake but each little one is no harm no foul? Ava has lost her voice at the age of 6. Her mother and family and friends are rallying in her support to be her voice and speak out to make sure this does not happen to another family. That another child is not ripped away too soon due to negligence in our judicial system. We must band together now. For our children, and for their future. There is hope, we must keep faith and fight for what will make this world a better place. Life is not meant to be easy we must accept our actions and be held responsible. We now carry the responsibility of Ava’s voice. May it ring loud and clear in the fight against drinking and driving.” #AvasLaw #AvasVoice #AvaCampbell #AvaStrong #CampbellStrong #DrunkDrivingAwareness
