Avalon didnât grow up with the best examples of loving, healthy relationships. Her parents loved each other, sure, but they didnât have the healthiest relationship. It was a pattern that Ava had followed for much of her life before realizing how unfair it was to herself. Valencia had actually been her wake up call so to speak. This led to her over correcting with Brittiaâs father before she was able to work out what kind of relationship worked best for her. Learning that love itself wasnât always enough was the best thing for her.

A head canon: They donât technically have an anniversary. Everyone around them just assumed they were dating for the longest time and it took them being called out on despite basically living together for them to acknowledge that maybe everyone had a point
Ava likes to sleep with her wings unbound and sprawled out. For this reason, she often sleeps alone because she doesnât trust most people around her wings. This is especially true when it comes to Alexi (any verse with Alexi lbr here) because she does not trust him to not find a use for her feathers and she really doesnât want to kill him.
