Lumi's Birthday week day 5
It's been a LONG time since I drew Claude (the yellow-black one, he's a fae like Ava) and Caelan (a sea serpent), and in fact I realized I haven't drawn Claude at all since making his modern look.
These two are Ava's second best friends after the aforementioned Yume, and Claude is also her co-worker, whereas Caelan is her boss' adoptive son. (they are also a couple.) They are helping her prepare for the evening party she's having for her birthday.
Anyway, two more days left on my idea list, though I may not be able to complete both this week.
Now that this series is finished, I decided I wanted to also post all of them at once, as they are meant to be viewed as more of a set.
My personal favorites are probably the first with Roman, the cafeteria one with her uncle and boss, and the second last with her bestie Yume.
In hindsight I probably should've kept the text style consistent, its just that my handwriting is pretty bad, so I tend to prefer only using it for very short sentences, but I also feel like the actual fonts sometimes don't look as 'nice' as something handwritten? So I ended up doing both here.
Lumi's Birthday week day 4
Ava: You're at work, be professional
Alois: Hush, I'm trying to woo your boss so he'll let you go home early today!
Jurou: You keep doing that every time we're here

Since this was so time consuming already with just having 3 different characters - one with detailed tattoos AND shirt - I decided to leave the BG vague. Also because I haven't designed Alois' cafe interior yet, other than thinking its somewhat retro themed. The official look may end up being very different from what I drew here in other words. Also I struggled with the perspective so the table is a tad too low looking, but I realized that too late
Jurou doesn't usually wear his hat indoors, but I REALLY wanted to draw him wearing it here, so this is an exception. Also Avane has to deal with this EVERY time they go to the Lunartea cafe (not that she actually minds)
Decided that while this does kiiiinda have a different style from my prev Cyberpunk AU pieces due to more varied lineart thickness, I still wanted to connect it to them via using the same style for the speech bubbles/info stuff. (Since this is still in the same AU and story). Ava has normal human eyes in this AU since she's not a Fae here. I also ended up not adding a pattern on her mask, as I felt like her outfit has enough detail as is.
Also I FINALLY remembered to include my watermark on these. I made it specifically to put on my art but I keep forgetting to do it lmaoo. (Also noted that since the snowflake part is black, I can ALSO make a version of it that just has the eyes and the text, which may be better for some pieces)

Lumi's Birthday week Final
Yeah, nearly a week late, I didn't have time or motivation to do this final one until now. I actually had a bigger plan for this and wanted to make it into more of a comic strip, buuuut....no motivation left.
Anyway, Ava's dad shows up at the end of the day, right from work hence he's still wearing his uniform coat.
(if you're wondering where Ava's mum is, the Short version of the story is; Mental hospital due to combination of severe trauma, and a curse, latter which is making it near impossible for her to even start recovering ATM, hence she can't come and see Ava)
Cue Ava sending a very angry text for both Kuromoya AND Basil that includes some Spanish cursing, and ends with "You better sort this out, or I will sort both of your asses straight to hell"
This was hard to make, the perspective was difficult and I feel like it's still off somewhat with Ava, but its late and I wanna move on. I also decided to just leave this colorful instead of going for realistic looking lighting.
(Random side note: In this AU, Ava dyes her hair instead of the green being natural; its actually blonde in this case, like her main story human disguise.)

Aimi: I remember when you were just a wee baby nugget in your mama's crib!
Marci: You weren't even there, I was. Lawrence didn't recruit you until she was like ten or eleven.
Aimi: Rude! I saw her baby pictures!

Today's piece is simpler, just Ava's two most fearsome babysitters wishing her happy birthday. (They are NOT a couple btw, Marci's wife is a tree nymph called Mariella, and Aimi is dating a Soul Eater called Toushi. It's that both have worked with her father, namely Marci is his former right hand woman, and Aimi is the current one)
