I think it’s great that manufacturers are honoring past achievements and cars with new limited edition models, but they seem to think that this makes up for not having cars that are worth honoring in the future. The McLaren 675LT is a phenomenal car but it doesn't have a modern equivalent that McLaren will honor in 50 years. Let’s make some cars that people will think to remember and lust after in fifty years

And it turns out they almost did https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/volvonews7.shtml and it would’ve debuted the year my Prancing Moose was born; 1998, and I can’t help but feel if Ford wasn’t only interested in sapping all the money from the companies they buy, they would've made the 4.3 liter Volvo V10 a production engine. It only makes sense that when you combine two legends at the crankshaft you get a bigger, badder one.

to come up with a supercar with numb steering and a sub 200mph top speed.

I've just figured out a use for driverless cars
What if you could send them to the grocery store to pick up some food? Or even a restaurant? It's really quite simple. You would send your car to a participating grocery store, which when this practice is widely accepted will be plentiful, and they'd have a system that gives them a picture of the make, model and year and the license plate number to be sure it's the right car. Then they'd use an app to tell the car it's finished loading and it would be on its way home with your groceries; meanwhile your busy being productive in other means. Audi is already in tandem with Amazon who can deliver packages to your car using a similar system so why not?
