hey, i had some questions about the DCP! firstly, what should i expect from the phone interview? secondly, how does transportation work down there? is there housing provided, and if so, is it close to the park or did you rely on catching buses?
The phone interview is just your basic question and answer scenario, they'll ask you why you want to work for Disney and then why you want the roles you specified, and will just generally ask about your experience and what you bring to the table. Stay happy, enthusiastic and positive throughout (not creepy "my entire existence is DISNEY!" positive, though), smile even though it's on the phone, try to make it a conversation with the interviewer rather than a bland (and kind of scary) serious interview, and have fun. (:
As for transportation and housing, there is indeed housing provided - Vista Way, Patterson, and Chatham. They take about $80-$95 automatically out of your paycheck to cover rent depending on what kind of apartment you live in. This includes transportation via buses that take you to every Disney park and resort, as well as to Walmart and other places. The housing is a little far to walk, so yes, you do have to rely on the buses, but they really aren't bad. Some routes get you to where you want to go in 20 minutes or less. In the year I was there, there was really only a handful of times that I got frustrated with the bus, so I think they were okay.
