also please i need to know how Daniel reacts to the books?????

So okay

Charles, Michael and Lando keep doing their reading parties a few nights a week, and they get Pierre and Daniel interested as well. Pierre reads the first book mostly because it has made both of his mates so horny that he needs to know what the fuss is about (and hoping he may learn a thing or two lol).

Pierre literally immediately catches on. The characters just feel so familiar! So he asks Charles about it and Charles confirms but tells him not to mention it to Max at all until Max is ready.

Meanwhile, Max is both panicking and feeling incredibly flattered at the same time. He’s so happy that they all enjoy the books so much, but he also feels wayyyy too shy to admit he wrote them.

The trouble comes when Daniel wants to read it. Because there is absolutely no way Max can keep this from his soulmate. So when Daniel is all „Haha look, I borrowed this book from Michael since they’re all so crazy about it, let’s see what it’s all about“ and Max literally immediately caves and tells him it’s his book and how nervous he feels about someone finding out but also how happy he is about how much they all seem to like it and that he’s nervous Daniel will feel weird when he reads it.

And Daniel is totally shook but also so proud of Max at the same time, hugs him tight and promises he won’t read if it Max doesn’t want him to… but Max is like „well at this point, fuck it“.

And so Daniel takes the book to work the next day, starts reading it when he’s taking a break, sitting on his tractor…

And, well.

So Charles is absolutely convinced this is Max's doing, and so is Lando when he tells him about it... Michael is in the process of reading the book too and Charles is getting some very nice sex out of it so that is a win, and one night after they fuck like rabbits, Charles confides in Michael about his suspicion, and Michael immediately agrees.

But the thing is, Max specifically asked them NOT to seek out his books or any of his writing... but they didn't! They got it recommended by pure coincidence. So for now they keep it a secret- which is a problem, because Lando is awful at keeping secrets.

Charles formulates a plan in his head to avoid making Max uncomfortable: they are going to read the sequel together, out in the open, and constantly talk about how good it is. So Max will get the praise, but not have to admit this is his book if he doesn't want to.

So they do little reading parties on the couch...sometimes the other two read to Lando so they can get through it at a similar pace... and Max doesn't say anything. But they can tell that he is like 👀 but won't say anything yet... so they keep reading and praising it.

And the thing is: they hype it up so much that Pierre and even Daniel start getting interested... 😇
