Hey! I probably did the most stupid thing and started off with something rather difficult (I tried to separate a full-body outfit into a top), so uh.. don’t do that. Don’t be stupid, don’t be like me ;)

I’d suggest starting with recolors and get to know sims 4 studio that way - recolors are cute and not that hard, you’ll get to know some basics without wanting to rip your hair off because blender is being a bitch - because recolors don’t need blender.

Getting to know the basics is in fact what I would do first - know that I look back at it. Some nifty shortcuts and the most important things to take care of for example. That being said, take a look at tutorials - even though it’s super boring.

Watch videos! That really helped me, because it’s easier to understand a process if you can see it. The best videos are the ones that also show the shortcuts that are used.

Do not ever get discouraged! Blender especially can be a bitch - is a bitch, most of the time - and I still have no idea what I’m doing with it. If something doesn’t work take a breath, maybe do something easy (to convince yourself that no you are not stupid, it’s blender’s fault) and then come back.

A basic knowledge of how blender works helps you to find tutorials that are not from the sims community but from the blender community. 

Ask someone if you don’t know how to proceed or ask for screenshots of their process.

The size is 230px x 80vh (this means that height adjusts to viewport’s height). There’s an option in the theme to make the background image’s size stretch though.
