Eh, I've always been iffy about that quote. There's so much we don't know about animal social interaction, it's entirely possible some species of dolphin or something has homophobia and we just haven't noticed. Kind of like how we didn't acknowledge homosexual relations in animals until fairly recently even though it clearly happened.
