Felicity begging Oliver to adopt a puppy
âPlease?â
âNo.â
âPlease?â
âNo.â
âPlease?â
âFluttering your eyelashes is not going to work on me this time.â
âBut it does work sometimes.â
âWith dinner choices, not with adoption an animal.â
âNot just any animal, a puppy.â
âExactly.â
âI donât understand why youâre so against this.â
âIâve told you at least fifty times why Iâm against this, and theyâre all perfectly valid reasons.â
âI think youâre exaggerating there.â
âFelicity, you havenât thought this through.â
âOf course I have. Iâm going to feed it, Iâm going to walk it-â
âI donât understand why that would ever be up for question. It would need walking and feeding. Theyâre also going to need a lot of attention, which we wouldnât be around to give it.â
âOf course weâd be around.â
âFelicity, you have a full time job, I have a full time job. We also have another job that takes up our entire evenings. We live in a loft that only has a balcony - where and when are you going to walk this dog?â
âIn the park...â
âThe park thatâs three blocks away down a street that youâve called creepy on several occasions?â
âIâd feel safer with a dog, you know. Besides, the dog would come with us to the bunker.â
âI just donât think this is a good idea right now.â
âRight now? So youâre open to it in the near future?â
âMaybe not the near future...â
âOliver, this will be good for us.â
âI donât think we should be getting a puppy right when weâre about to have a baby. A puppy would be enough work on itâs own. Weâd be double stressed having a new baby and a puppy. I think we should wait at least until we donât have a baby crawling at the same height as a dog.â
âThatâs probably a good point.â
âProbably?â
âYou havenât won me over completely yet.â
âIâm not saying never. Iâm saying not yet.â
âRight.â
âCome here. Weâre going to have our baby here soon, and youâll be so in love with her that nothing else will matter.â
âIâm just saying a dog could be pretty cool too.â
âFelicity.â
