“No.”

“Fluttering your eyelashes is not going to work on me this time.”

“But it does work sometimes.”

“With dinner choices, not with adoption an animal.”

“Not just any animal, a puppy.”

“Exactly.”

“I don’t understand why you’re so against this.”

“I’ve told you at least fifty times why I’m against this, and they’re all perfectly valid reasons.”

“I think you’re exaggerating there.”

“Felicity, you haven’t thought this through.”

“Of course I have. I’m going to feed it, I’m going to walk it-”

“I don’t understand why that would ever be up for question. It would need walking and feeding. They’re also going to need a lot of attention, which we wouldn’t be around to give it.”

“Of course we’d be around.”

“Felicity, you have a full time job, I have a full time job. We also have another job that takes up our entire evenings. We live in a loft that only has a balcony - where and when are you going to walk this dog?”

“In the park...”

“The park that’s three blocks away down a street that you’ve called creepy on several occasions?”

“I’d feel safer with a dog, you know. Besides, the dog would come with us to the bunker.”

“I just don’t think this is a good idea right now.”

“Right now? So you’re open to it in the near future?”

“Maybe not the near future...”

“Oliver, this will be good for us.”

“I don’t think we should be getting a puppy right when we’re about to have a baby. A puppy would be enough work on it’s own. We’d be double stressed having a new baby and a puppy. I think we should wait at least until we don’t have a baby crawling at the same height as a dog.”

“That’s probably a good point.”

“Probably?”

“You haven’t won me over completely yet.”

“I’m not saying never. I’m saying not yet.”

“Right.”

“Come here. We’re going to have our baby here soon, and you’ll be so in love with her that nothing else will matter.”

“I’m just saying a dog could be pretty cool too.”

Yay you’re back!!! I’d say I missed you but you really haven’t given me the chance to miss you on whatsapp 😂😂 

“Stay there.”

“What?”

“Don’t turn around either.”

“Oliver, what’s going on?”

“If you turn around, I’m gonna make you scream.”

“Well that sounds promis-----WHAT IS THAT?!”

“I told you not to turn around!”

“IS THAT A BEAR?”

“It’s just a little spider--”

“LITTLE?! WHERE WAS THAT THING?”

“In the bedroom. But I’m getting rid of it, and everything’s fine.”

“Oh no, everything is not fine at all. Everything is far from fine. That was in our bedroom. Alive. Crawling.”

“And now it’ll be outside-”

“We have to burn down the apartment.”

“Felicity, I think you’re overreact---”

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING? DON’T MOVE CLOSER TO ME!”

“Okay, I’ll put this outside.”

“You mean kill it, right?”

“Felicity, we don’t need to kill it.”

“Oh, there is no ‘we’ in this, mister. You are destroying that thing. I want it gone.”

“It’s not hurting you, Felicity.”

KC isn’t in there but she’s gonna be in the 100th...

She looked over at him, horrified. Oliver jumped and ran around to her side of the bed. He felt around but only felt her flat stomache.

“No no no no!” He picked her up, looping her arm over his shoulder and swiftly transported them to their car. 

Just as he was strapping her in, Felicity’s eyes rolled to the back of her head, head lolling to the side. Blood trickled from her mouth. 

‘FELICITY!”

Oliver woke, automatically reaching over to Felicity’s side of the bed, seeking her familair warmth after suck a nightmare. 

But she wasn’t there. He felt all over, searching for her, even calling out her name, waiting for her answering call. 

Until he remembered. 

That nightmare wasn’t a dream.

It was a memory. 

(Are you happy now Susie?) 

“I hoped so much.”

“I know.” What else was she supposed to say?

“I thought…”

“We both did.”

“But this is permanent. A coma I could wake you up from, this… this I can’t.”

“I know.”

He turned to look over at her. “I still love you. I still want to be with you.”

“Even if I’m a ghost?”

“Even if I can never touch, even if I can never kiss you, hold your hand, love you the way i’ve dreamed about. Even if I can never feed you my cooking, nor marry you because no one else can see you. Felicity, I am yours, always and forever.”

“Oh Oliver.” 

Tears slipped down her face as he broke the curse and her body became corporeal. She had found someone that promised to be with her, basically forever and the Magician’s curse was lifted.

She reached up and touched his face and for the first time, felt his warm skin beneath her palm.
