After a few down weeks, Amanda was able to bounce back with one banger of a shot! It’s considered one of the most iconic shots from AusNTM for a reason, it’s stellar! I don’t mind the lighting blocking Amanda because it adds a sense of mystery to it; it’s one of the few times where a model is able to outshine the lighting and also would lack the same impact if the light was facing her. I love the pose, Amanda was able to carry herself well and I adore the positioning of the arms. I also dig the twist of her legs as well so the shot isn’t as one dimensional. The main showcase is her face! Even in the dark lighting, her eyes pierce through it, there’s a fiery intensity to it that I love (she looks like an angry spy in a movie, I dig it). Amanda was able to prove her worth with one of the best shots of the series!

Sophie’s shot is simple but once again, I love it. Maybe it’s just me being biased (actually no, it’s 100% me being biased) but this shot is stellar. Sophie did benefit from the angle of the shot (otherwise she would look stiff) but she still was able to create a nice pose. Again, it’s basic (a lot of shots post C5 are very basic) but I kinda love how much of a lazy bitch she looks here, especially with the overstretched arm. As always, Sophie’s face is just nice. She balances a blend of feminine and androgyny, her eyes convey a radiating energy to it, and she found the perfect angle for her already perfect face. It’s another hole in one for Sophie’s rapid improvement arc.

Jessica starts off the best of the worst at this point, Jessica does not compare to Amanda/Sophie but is much better than Kathryn/Kelsey. I think she executed the “resting in the sun” pose better than Kelsey. I actually like the pose, yeah, it looks like she’s struggling but she still was able to look relaxed and not tense at the end; plus, she's selling the bag, so that's a nice detail she paid attention to. Her face is when the issues start for me. The closed eyes are a nice detail but otherwise, her expression is very much pained. I think it’s the way she downturned his lips that give that expression and the tilted face, she’s going for dramatic but she looks stained instead. It’s a step down for Jessica after a few good weeks.

I like to believe that Kathryn’s shot is basically sabotage since she was doing well on set but I can’t argue with the results now. . Kathryn’s pose is completely stiff. I hate the raised arms since there’s no purpose to it and the tilt of her body doesn’t feel natural; it looks like she’s about to fall down and vomit. Her face is at least nice, there’s always that nice intensity and her bone structure looks good but her face does not mesh with the pose at all. While Kathryn’s elimination hurt, I do think they ended up making the right choice. In the end, this is a really strong top 5 and with Sophie/Amanda’s rapid improvement and Kelsey/Jessica’s consistency in photos (up till recently), Kathryn’s great photo quality yet subpar everything else would haunt her.

Kelsey is really sliding down into mediocrity with another meh shot. The pose is fine, I don’t think I’m a fan of the outstretched arms since one is bent and the other is really stiff but I do like how she’s attempting to create curves on her body so the shot isn’t as boring. However, it can’t save a dreadful face. She was struggling on shot and it sadly shows. Her eyes are bugged out with no emotion, the lips are tense, and the overall face looks like Kelsey is about to cry. I’m happy that Kelsey was saved again since she was one of the most consistent girls at this point bare 2 photos but then again, if she was eliminated here, I wouldn’t have minded considering how strong this top 5 is.
