No one this week did amazing once again but Tahnee was able to come out with it with a FCO out of me. Since Tahnee didn’t know who Elizabeth Taylor was, she was able to embodied her spontaneous and romantic aspect of life (I decided to do some research on the icon they were portraying, in case). Her confident yet suave demeanor works perfectly for this type of shoot since Elizabeth was one of the first female stars in Hollywood to portray such a confident self-image of herself. I adore the action of her coming out of the car like she caught a guy’s eye and trying to get everyone’s attention and the come hither nature of her body language is great. I’ve always found Tahnee’s shot underrated by many people, it’s one of my personal favorites of the cycle.

Clare really embodied her icon Twiggy to a tee. We all know Twiggy, she’s a quirky 60s British model who made a new mod era for Britain and the world in general. She was a 60s icon and Clare had the perfect idea and look for it. I did give Tahnee my FCO due to Clare being given a beauty shot (and I’ve always prefer Tahnee’s, fight me) but Clare did the best she could. Her face language is exactly like Twiggy. The open surprised eyes alongside the bit of swagger in her face by the slightly raised eyebrow is great. I also really like the open mouth as it adds a special element of surprise and quirkiness to the shot. I also dig the twist of her shoulder and you can tell she was modeling down the body down as well. Twiggy was a quirky model and Clare embodied her quirkiness to a ti. 

Franky was given Grace Jones and she was able to deliver in the energy department but flopped when you move to the face. Grace Jones was an icon in terms of her boldness and hyperfeminine and masculine styles all at once, as seen in her songs and live performances, so Franky had a pretty hard task which she somewhat succeed in. Her pose is crazy but in a good way, her body looking sickening here and the action/high energy of the pose works for a type of shoot like this, she sold the clothes well and so on. However, her face is a big issue. I don’t mind the screaming action since it is bold but her eyes are utterly dead and the fact that they’re somewhat open ruins the shot for me. Franky was the correct choice for boot due to her declining performance but even with my low placements for sure, Franky was always one of my favorite of the cycle.

Adele was given probably the hardest task out of everything in the group, Greta Garbo. Greta, besides having amazing fashion taste, was known as a tragic actress, who portrayed emotional and multidimensional characters, one of the first women to do so in her time. Adele has a decent pose, the awkward knee judging out really shortens her and somewhat uncomfortable to look at. However, the rest of the pose is fine. She created a nice curve for her body by leaning onto the motocross and the soft hand on the neck is a nice touch. However, her expression is blank, she’s going for dreamy and emotional but instead looks tired and irate. Greta was an emotional woman who conveyed sadness and added depth to her character, and Adele didn’t succeed on the most important part about her. Her bottom 2 was deserved but there’s one other shot in the bottom.

Cassi probably got the most boring person to portray here, Tahnee got sensual, Clare and Franky got quirky, and Adele got emotion while Cassi has.. nothing? She had to show off a bad attitude which yeah, makes sense, Cassi had the worst attitude of the group. However, Cassi set herself up with the worst shot of the group. Her wrists look bent in a tense and awkward way on the car but the rest of the pose is fine, she emerged from the car well and is showing off the clothes. Her face is one of the worst of the week though. She sucked into her cheeks too much and pursed her lips too much to the verge of duck lips. Cassi could’ve been a good contender for bottom 2 due to her dwindling desire to be in the competition and declining photo quality.
