As Ririchiyo finally crawled out of her corner in the main hall, she was surprised to see how many people had actually spread out throughout the grounds. The front yard was sparsely populated, mostly by small clusters of people who'd been injured during the rampant stampeding, and she could see dark shadows heading towards a light off in the distance. Perhaps they were searching for help? Or maybe they were on the opposing side. She couldn't tell. Part of her wanted to slink towards them and find out, but the more sensible, cautious part of her subconscious told her that in order to stay safe, she should avoid any unecessary contact with the other stragglers.
Ririchiyo stared up at the moonless night sky.
What am I supposed to do?
Suddenly, a harsh gale hit her full force in the face, knocking her mask to the ground. However, when she bent down to pick it up, she couldn't find it. She followed the direction the harsh wind had went, and stared at the person who'd been hit in the back of the head with it. He seemed to be alone, so she deemed it safe to speak. She plucked the mask off the back of his head.
"I apologize," Ririchiyo blurted out.
