Margins improved too тАФ operating EBITDA rose 20% to тВ╣1,924 crore and the margin widened to 21% тАФ while the company added 10 USFDA approvals plus 10 US launches, exactly the pipeline momentum a generics maker needs to offset pricing pressure on older drugs. The quarter was busy on capital allocation too, with an $85 million buyback, new subsidiaries in France and Indonesia, and a 26% stake in a solar company тАФ all pointing to expansion on several fronts, even as US pricing and currency remain the key risks to watch.
ThereтАЩs a corporate angle as well: a merger of its Eugia injectable entities to simplify the group, plus the completed Lannett acquisition in the US. Remarkably, it did all that while ending the quarter with net cash of about $42 million. More earnings in Corporates on Corporate Updates.
