Alec groaned as he felt someone nudging at his side. He never wanted to get up. His head was killing him and he doubted that an iratze would work for that. He was also never going to drink that much again. Actually, he was just never going to drink again. There, that fixed that.
“Mnn…let me sleep,” he slurred as he turned and burrowed into the nearest warm thing, which happened to be Jace. He snuggled up close to him and slung an arm across his waist.
They never should have gone out for drinks, but they’d wanted to celebrate his birthday and last night he’d been the happiest he’d been in awhile. He’d been happy because he got brief flashes of being close to Jace, of kissing him. That thought was when his eyes shot wide open and he noticed exactly what he was doing. He was clinging to Jace like he was a koala stuck to a tree.
“By the Angel,” he gasped as he released him and scooted back, nearly slipping off the bed as he went.
“What the hell happened last night?” He asked. He noticed that he was naked from the waist up, but could feel that he had his boxers on, which was a relief. Part of him wouldn’t have minded so much if they had had sex, but he knew that Jace wouldn’t be happy about it. “I’m never letting you take me out drinking again.”
