happy friday!! for augustine i humbly request a nice, crunchy 'you need to stay away from me.' ehehe
Happy Friday!! | @vpyre | @dadrunkwriting
This is a little Chantry Hates Them-Verse with Augustine using blood magic for the first time. I thought it would be fitting to put these prompts together. (Though I will say its a bit on the rough side.)
Words: 580
The first time Augustine used blood magic, it had been out of panic.
They were meant to be looking for Sandal, who had gotten separated from their adventuring group on the way to the thaig.
“Move it, Little Hawke!” Varric aimed Bianca at a genlock that had taken a stab at Augustine, who narrowly dodged out of the way.
“I am!” she shouted, swinging her staff and whacking another darkspawn that had gained on them. “Watch where you’re shooting that thing!”
Esther and Francesca were fighting side by side, working with Anders as they did their best to repel the darkspawn back far enough to give them more room to fight. Varric managed to slip around the small horde, shooting bolts from Bianca with the same ease that made Augustine want to smack the dwarf for at times.
“Another one for me!” Varric’s voice called over the clashing of swords and the thunking of swung staves. “How many have you got?”
hello! ❛ i thought you’d like some company. ❜ with a pairing of your choice?

A little Veilguard!Varric and Left In the Fade! Augustine for this prompt, because I like to make myself sad apparently.
Words: 139
“Is this seat taken?”
Augustine looked up from her cards, setting them down with a chuckle. “You see, I was saving it for a friend.”
“You wound me, Hawke.” Varric shook his head, slinging his crossbow onto the back of the chair. “Playing Wicked Grace without me?”
“Not that I’m any good at it. Even the spirits could win a hand.”
As soon as he sat down, Augustine shuffled the cards in her hands and set them into a pile. “Varric—”
“I know.” He waved his hand, as if it were just another day in the Hanged Man and not a ten year chasm that had opened between them.
Augustine only rolled her eyes, even as a small crack of a smile that tugged the corner of her mouth. “It’s good seeing you, old friend.”
“Always a pleasure, Hawke.”
i also keep going back and forth about augustine x anders/varric
happy friday! how about "Here's the thing: any time you say that we're fine, it means that we're not fine." for whoever you're feeling tonight?
Happy Friday! | @dadrunkwriting
This one was a fun one to write as I adjust to changing Marian to Augustine! Wanted to spend some time in the Chantry Hates Them-Verse, so we get some Deep Roads Expedition.
Words: 282
“This is fine!” Francesca called from ahead of them, Augustine and Varric had made up the back as Esther and the others went ahead with Bartrand. “We’re bonding.”
“Here’s the thing.” Augustine used her staff like a walking stick, avoiding the rubble of the Deep Roads as they continued to follow. “When you say that we’re fine, it’s usually not fine.”

okay this is a bit silly but if i were to
marian hawke -> augustine hawke (like change her name)
the thing is, augustine hawke is my pro templar worldstate girlie that's also a blood mage, romanced fenris, that would probably just get thrown back into my concepts pile because its the only name i could think of because
augustine, bethany, carver. they're the abc hawkes
happy Friday! For Augustine x Varric, how about '"I tried to dream you away, but the stars kept whispering your name." :)

A little Chantry Hates Them-Verse with this one. Thought it would be fitting a bit.
Words: 225
“So dwarves don’t dream?”
The question seemed random enough, Varric had been roped into whatever nonsense the younger of the Hawkes decided to get up to. Augustine and Elizabeth didn’t often run around Kirkwall together, but when they did, trouble and a good story wasn’t too far behind.
“Yeah. Disconnected from the Fade.” Varric turned his crossbow in his hands. “Not that I mind. Means Dreamy can’t accidentally wander in.”
Augustine nodded along, walking slightly ahead. “Lucky you. Or unlucky.”
“I would say lucky, but my luck has changed since I met you.”
Augustine chuckled, shaking her head as she casted a glance at him over her shoulder. “Well, that’s just mean, Varric. I thought you liked trouble.”
Happy Friday! How about offering Hawke/Varric with the prompt "Offfering to write something for them"
Happy Friday! @dadrunkwriting
I thought about this one a bit, maybe in the inbetween getting settled somewhere away from the chaos and Augustine needing to write a letter to Anders.
Words: 153
Augustine had faced worse foes than that of a blank page.
But the words that she could say wouldn’t come, no matter how much she willed it.
“Still trying to write to Blondie?” Varric’s hand appeared on the table next to the parchment, reaching across for one of the books haphazardly left open.
“What would you say to the one you love after ten years of going missing?” She sighed, tapping the quill against the inkwell. They had been staying in Skyhold, Morrigan was able to get them away from Tevinter while Rook and the Veilguard, as they called themselves, went about stopping ancient elven gods.
“I could always write it for you.” Varric offered with a soft laugh, closing the book before ruffling Augustine’s hair. “Make it all dramatic and swoon-worthy.”
She scowled, batting his hand away with a huff. “Don’t be ridiculous. He’d know it was you, Varric.”
“Worth a shot.”
