#27: “Protocol” (Logan & All-Star Audrey, Contemporary) - Tyce Diorio
I can only imagine how amazing this routine would have been with Allison, because Audrey being dropped in mere hours before the performance must have prevented it from being as great as it could have been. This is still pretty damn amazing, though. I can see why Logan wound up in the bottom the next week, because the connection wasn’t quite there between him and Audrey (for obvious reasons). The technique in here, though, is so good. That handstand and drop to the ground Logan did was so controlled, and that tilt jump...oh lord, he’s so good! Audrey’s no slacker in this routine either. She only had a few hours to get this down, and she made it look like she had been dancing this for weeks. I love that penche into a somersault she did and the frenzy she was conveying while Logan was dragging her on the word “Stop. Stop. Stop.” Overall, the connection was missing, but these two are such great dancers that they were still able to produce a brilliant routine.
