AudioSpotlight: Personal Space where ever?
AudioSpotlight technology + Computers = Match made in heaven?
Yesterday, in Mobility class, we were discussing the physical space that each of us works well in, with quite a variety of features an ideal space would have. I continually thought of needing personal space, even among collaborative ones and my thoughts drifted back to a previous session of Mobility. We had talked about new and innovative technologies that may impact marketing efforts down the road, and noted a product called AudioSpotlight, by Holosonics. Effectively, the tool allows sound to be 'targeted' to a very specific area, thereby playing the audio only to that/those person(s). I wondered, could AudioSpotlight technology be applied to personal computers down the road? Think about the possibility of working in a group space, with each member listening to their own audio, yet being capable of 'leaving' that sound with just a movement. It certainly seems to be much more conducive to member involvement versus everyone having a set of headphones in...
