I just listened to your read (well… most of it. It wanted to cut off at the end for whatever reasons… -sigh, pouty face-) of A Christmas Carol. I loved it. Have you… have you read anything else? Is there somewhere I can look?!
…dare I ask how often you’ve been asked this same thing?!
Anyway. That is all.
Thank you for existing.
You are wonderful and have brightened this Scrooge’s spirit considerably. 💙💙
I've read LOTS of things! There are audio books, most of which you'd need to listen to on Audible or on a library platform. But there's lots of stuff out there in the world that you can just find on the web -- my web site is a good place to start looking.
And here's me reading all The Graveyard Book, on a tour of the US, at a chapter a night...
Watch the latest Neil Gaiman videos and see Neil (and some famous friends!) read The Graveyard Book and Coraline in their entirety.
And if you keep an eye on the comments people will probably have lots of favourites that I've long since forgotten were even out there.
KAY KIT SIMP NATION I'LL DO US ALL A SOLID AND POST SNIPPETS OF THE AUDIOBOOK HE DID OF "FALL OF THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL". THIS IS THE FOOD I NEEDED. DO I EVEN CARE FOR THE CONTENTS ?? EHHH BUT DO I CARE FOR THIS MANS VOICE. ABSOLFUCKINLUTELY YES A HUNDRED TIMES OVER YES
Get it on Audible btw.
Recorded some lightning with my solar panel microphone and am now sitting around seeing if my crappy telephone mic will pick anything up during thunder (that's the thing I have coiled around the radio antenna in this image)
The solar panel recording didn't sound that interesting, plus I'm recording into a low quality recorder, but I'll post some edited audio of what I get tomorrow morning

Idk if you answered this already but what do you use to edit music because I want to make a shitty remix something and you came to mind on that
So I use Logic Pro X for all my audio needs. I’ve used a few DAW’s and this one’s my fave. It’s OS only so if you don’t have a Mac, it’s not gonna work for you.
It’s not free though.
If you were looking for some free DAW’s, there are a few that come to mind.
If you wanted a REALLY easy, user-friendly, very very quick workstation, Audacity is my rec. It’s not powerful, you can’t really do a whole lot with it, but in terms of just basic slicing audio together, basic effects, etc., this is a good software.
For DAWs, the first I have to rec is Reaper, which you get full access for free. The trial says it only lasts 60 days but the creators are v cool like that and rumor has it they don’t cut off access after the trial is over. However, if you want to support them, I think it’s like $60 to own the DAW.
Cakewalk is also a free DAW. I’ve never used it before personally, so I can’t speak to the quality, but I’ve heard it’s very user friendly and perfect for beginners.
If you own a Mac, Garageband is free. It’s not very powerful, but it’s still an awesome DAW if you’re a beginner. It’s very intuitive, and it’s considered the baby version of Logic Pro so for me personally, learning the basics on Garageband was great for when I finally upgraded to the professional DAW.
You might hear, but the “industry standard” DAW is Pro Tools. Pro Tools First is free, although it is very limiting in what you get access to. I personally am not a huge fan of Pro Tools or Avid as a company, and I personally do not and will not use their products unless I have to, as I just think there are better options. But this is my personal preference, and I do know people who have tried a few DAWs and genuinely use Pro Tools as their go-to.
Along those lines, a lot of other major DAWs have free versions, such as Ableton and Studio One. Like Pro Tools First, these can be very limiting in what they allow the user to do, and are considered baby versions of their professional software. Though, depending on what you want from your DAW, these could be totally fine to suit your needs.
So there are my recs for audio editing! There are other DAWs out there, but these are just the ones that come to mind right now.
