judge - lord of light

"one who becomes light itself, and commands light for their own benefit"

i feel like its a bit obvious? the light aspect means knowledge... i think it speaks for itself from there. Of course i'd also assign him as a prince of light, since after sketching specimens he destroys them (and subsequently their history), but i dont feel like it acknowledges Holden's polymathy enough, so i'm going to stick with lord of light.

(or, maybe even a prince of time? anyway.)

kid - mage of void

"one who understands void on a personal level"

the mage of void is someone who has come to accept being nothing and nobody because they've always been nothing and nobody. their problem is not letting their emptiness take advantage of themselves. Throughout the story, the kid consistently displays apathy toward his own life. he repeatedly gets faced by danger, and he just accepts his death whenever it could happen, because he knows he's never been anyone, and he's never gonna be anyone, and he's okay with that. He needs to learn that just because he's never been someone doesn't mean he can't BECOME someone.

glanton - page of rage

"one who provides & radiates rage"

a fully realized page of rage would be a constant, violent storm, causing fear and destruction wherever they go. Again, i don't have much to say about this, but i think it fits nicely.

toadvine - thief of breath

"one who obtains breath from others & redistributes it to themselves"

a thief of breath takes the freedom from other people and "absorbs" it, in a sense. they wish to be carefree and not to have one set path. their issue is they need to gain their aspect without taking it from others! toadvine takes the freedom of native americans by slaughtering them, and subsequently gives himself their freedom to do whatever he wants. i could be reading into it wrong, but i have to admit, i'm kind of stumped otherwise.

tobin - seer of blood

"one that knows, sees, and understands blood, and invites change to blood"

a seer of blood can manipulate the unity of a team to their advantage, based on their knowledge of blood. I feel like Tobin would be a seer of blood because he knows deeply about relationships and bonds (or, i assume a priest would know that), and he manipulates the kid's trust of Holden by telling him Holden killed Toadvine just so he can be rid of the guy. 

(I DO want to mention i feel like sylph may fit as well, but it feels a bit off so i'll say seer for now.)

gretel - rogue of life 

"one who obtains life & redistributes it to their team"

me, right now: How do i make this about my oc?

a rogue of life would keep their desires hidden from everyone else and would conceal a caring personality for fear of appearing weak. They wouldn't act upon their dreams or aspirations because of hesitance. Gretel's truest desire is to be appreciated and accepted, to have someone to relate with and to confide in. She takes an interest in the kid because she feels kinship toward him that she's never felt before, but she holds herself back because she's afraid of chasing him away. She yearns to join the gang by the fire, but she stays away and tends to the horses because she's just too shy to put herself out there!
