The moment you walked into the shared kitchen, dressed to the nines for the fancy dinner date Lycaon had planned, he was speechless. It was like his heart froze in place. He could feel the embarrassing heat in his cheeks, using his hand to shy away from the blush he's sure is apparent. Though, what is much more enticing to him is the decadent scent radiating from your skin. It would take a monumental amount of self-restraint for him to keep a respectable distance during this dinner. He almost prefers it this way, having to hold himself back until he brings you home...

"Let's go," he blushes, "we don't want to miss the reservation."

Diaval had something much more casual planned. He doesn't like dressing up or crowded restaurants so he's bringing you somewhere lowkey. He smirks when he sees you, a bit surprised at how good you look despite wearing your usual type of outfit. Of course, you always look good so that's no surprise. He places a hand on the small of your back- he can't help it, he needs his hands on you. He needs to claim you, if only to ensure no one else will dare interrupt your evening. All night he's got a hand around your waist, and whenever you're not paying attention, he stares daggers at the other men in the room.

"You wanna get out of here?" He whispers in your ear. "I got us a room, just for tonight."

this is a book about bravery. it's a romance for some characters but it's also about aromanticism. it's a reflection on autism and anxiety and trying to find out who you are and then be honest about that with the people who matter. it's extremely unserious and very serious. it may be my funniest novel yet and it makes me cry every time i read That One Part (you'll know what i mean, down the road). it's about falling in love with yourself and finding your way back to family and the bonds we forge with our siblings and those we choose as family and it's COMING OUT THIS YEAR.
