Chipped Judgement
It was an abnormality that the systems had picked up that morning. Everything had been running smoothly, for once, and all was quiet and peaceful upon the even of December. Winter was not apparent to everyone, since they all were occupying the top of a mountain. That did not detour their Master from taking action when traces of odd sigal-like magic had been indicated at the heart of the United States.
It wasn’t a typical singularity, persay, but it was definitely something worth investigating. The assignment had lined up their Master with two servants that were best suited for the job: Assassin, Charles-Henri Sanson. Avenger, The Count of Monte Cristo.
It was an odd choice indeed, considering that the Salem singularity had taken a toll on the Master and the servants involved within it. Even Da Vinci was raising a brow at the inclusion of Charles-Henri Sanson, but what must be done must be done with great care. There was a familiar spirit origin pertaining to the same line of the servant. One that even D’Eon would not be able to trace despite their specialty being an actual spy.
Now that the three were ray-shifted to their location, one thing to note was that time had stopped where they had landed. The wind did not blow, and any animals that inhabited the area were stuck frozen stiff. It’s unnatural, and definitely there had to be SOMETHING causing this-
Before either of the servants could properly inspect the phenomena, something suddenly sliced through the air, nearly clipping their Master with a few strands of hair off of their head. The two servants shifting quickly, their weapon and powers ready to demolish the source of what had almost decapitated their Master, a sudden blip had lit up from their Master’s wrist.
The spirit origin was fleeing-! If they were going to catch up to them, both Sanson and Avenger were going to have to act FAST!
“If you can cut them off from the front, I will be able to properly aim at them from the back. Be careful, Avenger. I can tell that this isn’t just a typical spirit origin.”
Something about this one felt off.
