@atrcus 💜'd for a starter!
Of all things, Kita was not the nostalgic type. Especially when a certain location only brought memories that sparked guilt or pain. The Naranja-Uva Academy being one of those locations. Sure, there were definitely good moments as well. If it hadn't been for the academy, she would never have received Ollie back then.
The one reason she had returned was because it'd been so long that surely there wouldn't be anyone on campus who'd recognize her. Not that she planned on letting anyone see her. The music class was another reason she had come back. Word was that the instructor had a unique way of teaching by combining music with battling. The love for performance arts seemed to run in her family so naturally she was intrigued.
She had managed to find a spot on the roof that was fairly close to the window of the music classroom, close enough to hear the melodies but inconspicuous enough so that no one would be able to see her unless they really leaned far out the window or looked down directly from the sky above.
There was a recognizable tune playing to which Kita couldn't help but hum along. Soon, her humming became singing, though still soft for it to be drowned out by the instruments. At a point, the playing did stop, so abruptly that Kita couldn't catch herself before her voice slipped through the silence.
The next day, as she made her way back to the school, she overheard some passing students chatting about "the singing ghost in the music classroom."
…Whoops.
