Three-time World Press Photo Award winning photographer Stefano De Luigi’s work explodes with colour, capturing the most interesting stories imaginable. A member of the VII Photo Agency, Luigi’s ingenious long term projects are unique and compelling. Emaho spoke to Stephano about his work with VII Photo, his projects and the FotoDoks workshop he will be mentoring along with three fellow members of the VII photo agency this October.

  How did photography happen for you?

After high school I enrolled in a Political Science course but I quit for photography two years later (first studying in a school and then working).

  How long have you been with VII Photo and what has the experience been like?

I joined the VII network in 2008 and I’ve been a member since last year. The experience with VII has enabled me to grow professionally as it’s very stimulating to be surrounded by such great work all the time.
