General Appearance: Lean body; somewhat athletic but still quite slim, quite tall. Dark brown, almost black hair, usually styled in a side part. His facial hair ranges from light stubble to a short beard, but is rarely clean shaven. Inherited his father's intense, bright blue eyes and smile.

Personality: Reserved, polite, modest, compassionate and honest. Cyrus was a quiet kid who usually preferred to be left to his own devices so he could draw or read or work on puzzles. Even as an adult, he's a man of few unnecessary words, and never quite understood why people would waste their time with lies and half-truths. He is also very devoted, loyal and caring towards his family and friends.

Special Talents: Problem solving; logical thinking; intuition. Cyrus takes up work as a doctor, and excels in the field of radiation treatment, becoming one of Boston's leading experts on the subject.

Personal Head canon: With both of his parents having some sort of gift bestowed upon them from Atom, it should come as no surprise that they were worried for the health and potential future of their unborn son when Aster first learn of the pregnancy. Having built their relationship on a strong foundation of mutual respect, love and understanding, Dennis and Aster overcame the difficulties and anxieties of her pregnancy and labor together, and got to welcome a healthy baby boy into their family. Throughout Cyrus' childhood, adolescence and into his adulthood, there was never a lack of love and support between the three of them, which continues to this day.

Grant's head slowly turned towards Dennis, giving a look of both bewilderment and mild irritation.

They had been sitting on the porch in silence; Dennis sipping a cup of coffee, and Grant smoking his pipe. No conversation, unless a slight grunt and a nod of the head in greeting somehow counted. In his book, they did not.

“No.”

She said it more forcefully than she’d really intended, and later she would feel guilty for snapping at him. However, right then, she couldn’t think about that at all. Despite the fact that she’d hardly slept the night before, and that she had not even stopped moving all day to eat, laying down was about the last thing she wanted to do.

Holly turned to look at Dennis for a moment -- a fearful, and slightly pained expression on her face -- then turned away again, shaking her head. She crossed the room with a box of old canning jars, and began washing them.

It was a bad day, and Holly could find no other way to deal with it besides to keep busy. No doubt she looked a bit off her rocker; starting one chore only to stop halfway through and move on to another. She had not stopped moving all afternoon, too afraid that if she was still for even a few minutes, the temptation to break down and scrounge up a drink from somewhere would be too strong.

Starling, who had been approaching, hands reaching out to offer comfort or assistance, stopped and withdrew. She glanced at Matthew, who looked as startled by the note of panic in his voice as she. He seemed baffled, and gave an uncertain shrug. They stood there with him, feeling helpless, unwilling to leave him while he was so obviously distressed.

Slowly, Starling reached for her canteen -- giving it a quick shake to make sure there was still water in it -- and took a cautious step towards Dennis, holding it out to him.

Holly remained silent at first, staring intently at the floor, and then the wall. Anywhere other than Dennis’ face. Slowly, she shook her head and met his eyes for the briefest of moments before looking away again.

The request was unexpected, but even so Wade just nodded in acknowledgement before he fell into step beside Dennis. He burrowed both hands in the pockets of his jacket and turned to look over at the younger man.
