When you almost get kidnapped, the stereotypical questions imposed on you!!
Ladies, Haven't you ever been an victim of roadside rogues? Haven't you ever witnessed domestic violence? Haven't you ever been threatened by this society, not to step out of the house at odd timings?
We and all the men know, why we are asked to do so. But what happens, when an auto guy tries to take you in a different route, which you weren't expecting? What happens, when you are facing an assault by a neighbor or a lecturer or anyone else?
The main questions comes to a girl's mind is, what is the reaction, when I reveal to my parents or friends?
Athmika is an initiation, to bring change in this society and their thoughts. We encourage people to stand up for themselves and fight back. Recently, I was supposed to attend a class at 6PM. I was hurrying up and took an auto rikshaw. I realized that, I forgot my wallet and was searching in my bag. Fortunately, I was left with some money to go and come back from the class. I lift my head and realize another fact that, I was in the route, which I ain't suppose to be. I ask the auto driver " This isn't the way to my place, why did you come this way? " He says, " Nahin, Yahan se bhi Jha sakthe hain ". I waited for a minute and understood that, this guy is taking me into some other place, which is deserted. I found only one or two people walking around. That's it,something was wrong totally. Next Moment, I could see a small temple and priest in it. This is the moment for me to get down and this might be the only chance too. I asked the auto driver to stop, but he wouldn't. Rather he would argue that, it wasn't place I wanted to go. I had to yell at him on the road, to make him stop. I got down, took another auto rikshaw and went back home.
The real situation starts, when I share it with parents and friends. I would loved to share these amazing marvelous questions.
Why didn't you go in a bus?
Look at your dress.
Why don't you wear Kurti's?
I told you not to get into autos.
Last but not least, though my favorite one. " What were you doing in an auto at that time? ". This question was asked by one of my best friends, who is an ex-member of athmika.
I know, the situation I explained wasn't tough. I know, many of the girls would do the same. But, the questions imposed on you, leads you nowhere. You can't file a case on the auto driver for taking you in the wrong direction. You can't avoid taking auto's, when you are late.
What if a girl, who is raped or severely being assaulted reveals the situation? Is it her fault?
An amazing critic has been published in youtube by "All India Bakchod", which crossed more than 2 million views.
