day #12
about last walk in the city center
You may think I’m crazy but I don’t mind lmao. Every time I see open door of a tenement house, I feel I simply have to get inside and take some photos. That’s one of my obsessions and it might be quite irritating for people going for a walk with me. But actually it can inspire them to look up architecture and take photos. Cause I find architecture and photography one of my favorite disciplines of art.
What seems to be the most fascinating when it comes to photography is the perspective of immortalizing the picture of reality as we see it. Reality filtered by our emotions and aesthetic. Reality put out of context. Isn’t it pretty inspiring?
I’ve just finished binge watching a series on Netflix, called The World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals. Absolutely loved it. Each episode they look at 3 properties - Budget, Unique and Luxury.
They were all beautiful places but one that stood out to me was The Snake House in Mexico City (Quetzalcoatl’s nest). These pictures are of an incredible greenhouse in the grounds, that you enter by walking through the belly of a giant snake.
All pictures are taken from Instagram and there was one quote that summed it up perfectly - “Music is liquid architecture. Architecture is frozen music.” - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (shared by @jain108academy)
