Offense — #Strong - Sophomore wide receiver Jaelen Strong (Philadelphia, PA) caught eight passes for 136 yards and one touchdown. It was Strong's fourth straight 100-plus yard receiving game and his third in five career games with a touchdown reception. His long reception was a 36-yarder from quarterback Taylor Kelly that went for a touchdown and gave ASU a 13-7 lead. Strong now has 39 catches for 569 yards and three touchdowns on the season. He is averaging 14.6 yards per catch and 113.8 yards per game. Strong is tied for second in the Pac-12 in receptions per game with 7.8 and is No. 4 in the league in receiving yards per game with 108.2.
Defense — #Randall - Junior defensive back Damarious Randall (Pensacola, FL), in his first college start, led all tacklers with 17. Randall collected nine solo tackles to go along with eight tackle assists, both career-highs. Randall also added 1.5 tackles for loss of eight yards and a pass breakup.
Special Teams — #Gonzalez - True freshman placekicker Zane Gonzalez (Deer Park, TX), who grew up only four hours away from AT&T Stadium, was perfect on the night and booted two field goals of 40 and 27 yards to give ASU a 6-0 lead. His 40-yarder tied a career high and he was four-for-four on extra points. Gonzalez is now 8-of-11 on field goals and 25-of-25 on extra points in his young career. He has scored 49 points on the season. Gonzalez leads the Pac-12 Conference in total extra points attempted and made at 25 and is tied for first in the conference in PAT percentage at 100-percent. He is fourth in the league in field goal percentage (72.7) and fifth in field goals (1.60).
