Zoro was right, he was down and out from the day’s events. A simple nod of the head and a sound of agreement to the swordsman’s words were given as his chin came to rest against shoulder. Any words that could be said in the moment just felt unnecessary and Luffy didn’t want to say anything in the slightest. All he wanted in this time was the silent comfort of their proximity as his companion held him up.Â
Arms came to wrap around his rock’s strong form, Luffy’s cheek resting against Zoro’s like a common occurrence that was all too natural. Breathe slowed while eyes remained closed but his consciousness remained alert to anything that could change. A loose smile all too soft made an appearance to show everything he felt right now. This is what they meant when they said home is where the heart is, and home was with Zoro.Â
