Amali took to being a captain very well. She was a benevolent, but somewhat strict captain. She paid her crew fairly, protected them from danger, fed them well, paid for their healthcare, etc. However, she reprimanded them when they tried to get into trouble on board or off, and she forbade them from playing that racist game on board.
Amali had three ships: The Defiant, The Valiant, and The Triumphant. The Valiant is her first ship she bought herself, and it is very fast and agile. She’s most especially proud of her last ship, The Triumphant, a large powerhouse of a galley and easily the most luxurious of her ships.
Orlan’s Cradle
Amali loves Vela and did her best, but life in the Deadfire isn’t as stable as it was in Caed Nua. Amali does try to spend as much time as possible with her daughter--and she manages quite well since they’re on a boat most of the time together--and I headcanon that Amali eventually finds a tutor for Vela. However, that isn’t enough to keep the young girl from getting into trouble, and Amali constantly worries whether or not she did right by Vela in taking her away.
for the fact swap: seren can drink through the roots they're covered in! they don't do it regularly since it's slower than just drinking normally, but it's a fun little party trick type thing they like to break out to weird people out.

Amali’s skin is somewhat cool to the touch, and her normal body temp is slightly lower than average. She has a normal human pulse, but for some reason it’s difficult to detect.

🎹 Playing music
Amali is rather good at it, though not as good as she is at painting. Her parent owned a violin that they had managed to save when their father’s family cut ties with them and taught her how to play.
🌱 Gardening
She’s all right at it, though she needed help getting started at Caed Nua. She loves flowers, but she never really learned about gardening or agriculture growing up. A poor urchin in the city never gets a chance to take up such things.
🕹 Playing games
Amali could be excellent at them, depending on the game she’s playing. She has a sharp eye and keen insight and very intelligent and dexterous to boot. She always plays fairly and will catch others if they cheat, though she has a very good poker face.
