Weird Conversations I’ve Actually Had Sentence Starters 

Clutching the red fabric he had on his hand, his brows furrowed and looked at her with a baffled expression. “Are you seriously going to do this-” He said so repeatedly, still unsure of what the woman was planning on that little head of hers. Surely, Kyungsoo was a supportive friend, a supportive father figure for Aster throughout this entire time they’ve known each other. And he wanted only the very best for her, being an overprotective person that he is.

But seemingly, her idea to jump on the roof while lighting up fireworks were not a good idea.

“I seriously think you shouldn’t do this- It’s dangerous-”

Alas, the woman was already far-fetched with her Disney fantasies that she started climbing off the fire escape at the side of his home. As a precautionary measure, he had the fire department and the hospital’s emergency numbers on speed dial with the phone tucked right by his backpocket.

“Come on, I’m giving you five minutes! Light up that thing so you can get back down,” he commanded. As much as he commanded, there was no stopping Aster. He barely shook her with his little threats and case study examples of sprains and broken bones off bad falls; she was a tough cookie anyway.

“Missed you?” A brow arched in an attempt to keep a straight face with her eyes fixed on the male, only to purse her lips tightly to fight back a smile. Wrinkling her nose in the process, she let out a laugh and merely nodded her head. “It would seem like the both of us have fallen off the face of earth, right? You’re nowhere to be found and I’ve been in my little corner with my dogs and my boyfriend. Missed you, in fact, would be considered an understatement. It’s time for us to catch up, don’t you think?” Tiling her head to examine the male’s features, she clicked her tongue once and filled her cheeks with air. “I want to go bowling.”

“What are you even saying?” Wide-eyed, he offered his box of donuts to the sulking girl next to him after the sudden outburst. Kyungsoo knit his brows in fury as he pursed his lips. “Come on, it’s not like that..” He tried to appease Aster as much as he could, rubbing over the latter’s shoulder to calm her down. “Is it that bad?”

Ever since Sooyeon showed him a photo of her cradling an infant from one of her friends (which he found absolutely adorable), Kyungsoo had saved it in one of the folders in his Camera Roll, beneath all those screenshots of the cars he liked that his co-worker sent. It was a harmless little thing, let alone a big enough deal to have it gone this far.

This weekend, however, it was proven otherwise.

Without hesitation, Kyungsoo left his phone by the couch as he went on a quick bathroom break in the middle of the movie they were watching. Of course, he had nothing to hide so why would he need to worry? He left it there, only thinking the most damage which could be done was having her look into his embarrassing photos, especially of the ones he slept during work hours. But his bathroom break was disrupted and he just had to groan out while holding out on his bursting bladder, fixing his belt fast. He thought it was an emergency, and so he began running like a mad man to check up on her. “What’s wrong- Is the television burning- Are you okay-”

Surprisingly, he finds a curled up little ball of sadness, tears brimming as she clutched the phone to her chest. To his inconvenience, Aster thought he and Sooyeon had a child already and kept it from her, rambling on about trust and why she had issues with it. The male could only smile inwardly at her worries, finding it unbearably funny and cute at the same time, before interrupting her towards the end of her long melodramatic speech about family life.
