The reason i ask is because with all the discussion of the removal of the assault weapons ban, each time Sen. Feinstein is mentioned the phrase "who discovered SF Mayor Moscone's body" is also parenthetically added.
I find it odd. I'm sure Sen. Feinstein has done lots of other things too. Also, just want to point out that White killed Moscone with a revolver, reloaded and then went and killed Harvey Milk. So an assault weapon ban wouldn't prevented this killing.
I suppose that the reason is because the Senator from CA has witnessed gun violence first hand. But this kind of cross reporting seems to be editorially trying to lend and add credibility where it's not really needed,
