Latest TVC additions. Rant: As much as I anticipated an update for the long overdue Imperial Gunner, I am unfortunately underwhelmed by the result. Yes he is super articulated but obviously he also looks way too lanky and the fact that his helmet is way too small doesn’t make things better. It seems as if the blown up versions of Star Wars action figures (aka Black Series 6“), which in most cases have oddly lanky (and very generic) body proportions, now have dramatically impacted the 3.75“ scale lines. Is this the end? At least the way TVC figures are build these days seem like a dead end for now. The Tank Driver Commander isn’t too impressive either, although for other reasons: despite its super articulation, the joints don’t allow a good range of posing. This figure feels like a re-painted older figure—wait! It is, isn’t it? I haven’t done a side by side comparison with the ordinary Tank Driver figure yet (as he is still in his blister) but I suspect they are the same figures. I see progress in general in the latest figures‘ elbow joints, which allow for a greater range of motion, however, the Tank Driver has no such kind of elbows, yet. I really hope the TVC line becomes more interesting again and gives us better molds in the future. #starwars #actionfigures #vintagecollection #assaulttankcommander #imperialgunner https://www.instagram.com/p/B0VkKo0gxoa/?igshid=q3e4gcw0yblq
