Pitch-black eyes turned to fix their stare on the boy. Akutagawa had barely taken notice of his presence; so the sudden sound of a voice caught him by surprise, no less for what was said. He scrutinised the child’s face. Should he recognise them? If so, he didn’t. The neutral-displeased look on his face turned into a deeper frown.

“How would you know?”

           His eyebrow rose as he listened to her, closing his eyes and blowing a ring of smoke into the air before he nodded and flicked the end of his cigarette onto the ground, stepping on it to extinguish it before finally looking to her. Well of course they would- especially if she ran about the mafia as if it was a playground...

   But he was trying to be understanding, he was trying for her. It wasn’t easy but...he couldn’t say he’s given up so soon.

        “is that so?”

   A shrug before he began walking on, a gentle hand motion for her to follow him- maybe a walk with this old man could give her some peace of mind. Maybe.

   Except  he  knew  all  too  well  such  was  not  always  true.  Countless  people  thought  they  were  untouchable  only  to  fall  to  the  hands  of  angels  or  mafia  members.  He  had  witnessed  it  several  times  ,  heard  about  it  plenty  more.  But  that  was  something  Sigma  would  keep  to  himself.

           “Cheshire dear, I cannot be in two places at once...” Beatrix set her sketchbook down to look in her friend’s direction, frowning a little and continuing- “I’m off the clock, but I will listen.”

     Leaning forward, Bea finally gave her her attention- an eyebrow raising as she continued.

“ Well, I’m afraid I cannot do this. Not with this attitude. Besides as you can see the place lacks the exit, no real way to let you out. “ Scoff escaped him, almost entertained by the annoyance. Well, it’s always funny to see someone get stuck in his ability for first time. Seemingly sitting into room, lacking any window or door. Of course scenery could be changed, but it seem more professional, didn’t it?

He sunk deeper into seat, head now resting on his own hand & eyes were glued to the other person from beneath the bangs.

he looks up when she approaches, eyes immediately falling on the bag. he knew that crinkle anywhere. in a moment he knew the exact contents of the bag, before she could even set it down.

' gimme gimme gimme gimme -- ' he's already digging into the bag, opening up the first of many snacks.
