I've taken so many pictures of this dam over the years but never from this spot for some reason. The light and the colours and the contrasting elements are just fab don't you think!! I always find dams unsettling and fascinating at the same time! A bit like the ocean too! Maybe it's the sheer size, but also, with a dam it very startling as it's man made vs nature! The absolute enormous power and force that is pushing Against that wall! It's amazing. It's not even close to overflowing this year. It's only overflowed twice in 14 years!! Quite a big deal when.it does.
