lmao I think it’s pretty reasonable to say that raoul is envious of erik , and the closeness of erik’s bond with christine. raoul may have known christine the longest but he knows that he’ll never have the same deep connection with her that she has with erik due to their music and it makes him pretty green in the face sometimes. generally he’s not really an envious person because he’s a kind-hearted soul in a very good position in life. leroux raoul is majorly envious of erik but this is somewhat separate to my portrayal because leroux raoul is envious that erik supposedly has christine’s affections and he doesn’t , he feels entitled to her love yada yada yada bad boyfriend material

honestly as a rich posh boy raoul has had a pretty good diet filled with rich and fancy foods , particularly because french cuisine is delicious , I don’t think there’s anything he really thinks of as a guilty pleasure. I think raoul is someone who doesn’t really indulge in food the way others do , and particularly coming from his naval background just thinks of food as a means to an end. but we want mushy shit so I’ll make something up , let’s say there was a particular bakery in perros that made these delicious raspberry flavoured macarons that he and christine ate all the time when they were children , and he’s never been able to find a better tasting raspberry macaron anywhere else , in all his travels.

the smell of sea air. particularly if it’s combined with the wind whipping his hair all over the place. it makes him feel so calm and safe , and makes him very nostalgic for his navy days and how free and incredible he feels when he’s on the water. also , christine has a particular scent. he’s never been able to place it , whether it’s a perfume she wears or an oil she puts on her skin , but whenever they embrace or he kisses her he can smell it and he loves it so much.
