“Iruma-sama...” The way he says his name lacks the usual boisterous energy it holds. He speaks only to cut the silence in this hospital room. It’s times like these that maybe he wouldn’t have minded Valac’s energy simply to make noise (he’d never admit to that though). The silence here was almost unbearable.

The demon looks at his dear friend who is bound to bed. His chest hurts seeing him like this. It could be worse, yes. He could have been comatose or worse, which is something he can’t even fathom happening. But seeing Iruma like this and knowing the reason behind it only makes his chest ache with pain.

They were friends, weren’t they? And as friends and Iruma’s spear, he should not have allowed the other to push himself like so. If anything, the roles should be reversed and he should be the one in bed.
