OH BOY! Time for another SPIDER'S WEB!!!
I really love reading these - hopefully I can continue to find versions of these comics that include them!
I'm glad a ton of fans noticed this! I feel vindicated for all my confusion thanks to ol' Gary here. Also nice to see Stan and Steve say "yeah we mega fucked up there"
Well Larry DEFINITELY seems to have an opinion on quite a few things!
I agree with him about Vulture being a much better villain than the Tinkerer, but better than Doctor Doom?? That might be pushing it...
Larry's comment about the belt is also something I agree with - keep the thing simple otherwise you're gonna turn Spidey into Batman. I wonder what he thought of the Spider signal in issue #3!
Finally, I love the reasoning Stan and Steve give for having AMAZING as Spider-Man's adjective for the comic - having it harken back to Amazing Fantasy from where Spidey originated! I'm glad they never dropped it, either - having the book just be titled "Spider-Man" sounds lame.
Thanks to Arthur's question, we get a little peek behind the Marvel curtain about the creation of Spider-Man and the cancellation of Amazing Fantasy (then known as Amazing Adult Fantasy).
Thank god for the fans at the time buying the hell out of Spidey's origin and sending in letters. Could you imagine a world where Spider-Man was just a one-off hero?? I can't!
To close out the Spider's Web, Stan and Steve let us know how fans are wanting to see Spidey crossover and appear with a bunch of other Marvel heroes.
If only they knew how many times Spidey would appear in Marvel comics in the future...
Speaking of which...

That's some exciting stuff! We're a whole 0.15% through our journey! Let's keep it going!!
