Aslah off to Permatang Pauh if he loses in Chempaka
KOTA BARU, March 21, 2015:
Chempaka state assembly by-election Independent candidate Aslah Mamat said if he failed in Chempaka, he had hopes of contesting in Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahimâs constituency.
He said his mission was to unite people without having a political ideology.
âThis is the stage I will use until I reach Permatang Pauh. If IÂ fail here (in Chempaka) it is okay.
âThis is my first mission and then off to Permatang Pauh. I will still contest there even though I have no money, God willing my noble deed will bring me blessings,â he told The Rakyat Post.
Nearing the end to the campaign period in Chempaka, Aslah said he was confident that he would not lose his deposit this time.
âI am confident that the people will vote for me and I will not lose my deposit.
Tomorrow, nine voting stations will be opened for the 20,390 registered voters to go to the polls and elect their new assemblyman after the passing of the former Kelantan Menteri Besar and PAS spiritual leader, the late Datuk NikAbdul Aziz Nik Mat.
