I love seeing things from cultures/communities that I am not appart of. It is so beautiful how human it is to create and perform, but it is also himan how unique each performance is. There is so much beauty and wonder in the world if you look for it.

I’ve had the great privilege of seeing Be Steadwell perform live, and I always thought her studio recordings could never quite match the energy and intensity of her performances in person. Then she debuted this video, which she collaborated with an ASL interpreter on, and solicited her friends for real footage of them and their partners, and I’ve never seen something visual so beautifully embody the spirit of a performer’s energy. Did I mention she’s a queer woman of color who is actively filling the world with love songs for queer women? She’s incredible. 

more superfab ASL performance. Kelly Greer takes 'Rolling in the Deep' apart and then reassembles it her way, and intensely so. Definitely not literal ASL, but Greer has a story to tell, alongside Adele's. (i love her top and her necklace, btw)
