“Glad I’m not on your bad side then,” Cara replied with a small smirk. A beat passed and she became serious again, “But haven’t you ever… Lost control? Bit someone because you weren’t thinking straight?”

“Oh I have to attend. It’s mandatory.” The Halloween Gala was an event every year between other Clans they considered friends and one or two other supernatural groups lucky enough to attend. It was huge. And her not going, barring some universe big catastrophe or issue keeping her from it, she and the others had to go. “But....I was wondering if you’d want to be my date.”

A small smirk tugged at Cara’s lips as she crossed her arms at her chest, “It’s been a while. What’s up?” Her smirk quickly started to fade as she added, “Wait, did something bad happen? Are you in trouble?”

“Are you sure she’ll be alright....?” She swore she wouldn’t be on of these parents. Fretting over her child like some nervous nit-wit and afraid to leave them, even for a moment, because they couldn’t live without her.

But, here she was, fretting over Elysia like a nit-wit even though it was only going to be a few days and Charlee and the others were more than capable of taking care of her. “Maybe we should cancel.”
