Though my little prince au has a similar concept its very different, shadow is a parasite in my au.

He is son of an overlord of parasites called the black arms and he was instructed to take over the prince's body to overthrow sonics kingdom, but he ends up becoming too close to sonic and abandons his father and his clan of parasites.
