A tall figure cloaked in shadows watched as a new spirit was born. He was curious when even the light of the Moon reached deep in his lair. He initially was coming out to give Manny a piece of his mind when he heard the ice cracking.

A boy emerged from the ice. Pale skin and white hair, and when he opened his eyes, they were the brightest blue he'd ever seen.

The shadowed man, Pitch, watched on as this new spirit gathered his bearings after tripping like a newborn dear, and in a sense he was just that.

The new spirit stumbled on a staff and Pitch saw in amusement as he played around and made it snow. And then he was off, to the nearby village. And Pitch followed. And even winced when the spirit experienced being walked through for the first time.

The Captain was doing just that. He’d been on his way back from an extremely disappointing hunting trip and had considered fishing in the lake, just to stop himself coming back empty-handed. Now there was a boy in the lake, and this was not a situation the Captain wanted to be in right now. 

He covered his eyes, just for good measure.

“Is that the best insult you have got?” he scoffed.

It wasn't as though he had been doing anything wrong...

A walk in the desolate woods near the mouth of his lair... That was all the shade really wanted. Some peace, quiet, a night away from the depravity of his Fearlings and the bickering of his Nightmares. Yet even now, he could feel that loathsome presence nearby, watching him.

Black and gold eyes scanned the treeline and rested on the frame of a being he held almost as much bitterness for as himself.

He sneered. "Why tonight?"

"What could I have possibly done to offend your delicate sensibilities?"

She caught his eyes and winked at him, giving him a seductive smiled before looking out the window again.

Jaz had despised the male as soon as he had entered the palace walls. As soon as his almond-colored eyes had laid sight upon him. But what did he despise about him? Everything. From his snow-white hair and bright blue eyes, down to his sharp facial feautures and smooth complexion. As for his personality you may wonder? Well Jaz couldn't say much about that. Concubines didn't need a good personality to be concunbines, did they? But Jaz was sure he would hate it too. But most of all he hated him just for what he was.

Jafar continued to bring lover's into the palace--the palace Jaz's ancestors had forged--building his ever growing harem, and further shrouding Jaz in disgrace. It wasn't that he felt neglected or pushed aside or replaced. No, quite the opposite really. Jaz couldn't stand the old man. Perhaps when it came down to it, the deeper reason that he despised the white-haired male and his other whore colleagues so much, was just for that reason. For how could Jaz ever respect someone who willing laid with such a vile man? What did they see in him? His wealth? Which was really Jaz's wealth?
