He's a little too drunk, a little too cocky and it's all he can do to offer her a confident grin as she gives him the sarcastic compliment. Before he can think better of it--because he's not even thinking at this point--he reaches for her, fingers digging hard into the backs of her thighs as he picks her up with ease.
Laughing as she towers over him, the pink of her hair falling over his shoulder as her hands find purchase on his shoulders instinctively. But he's not going to drop her, not a chance. Because even if she was being sarcastic, he is strong and he's not going to give her a reason to think otherwise.
So, with her looming over him, legs wrapped around his waist, he presses her back against the wall, tipping his head up to press his forehead against hers before stealing his real prize.
A kiss.
Not a peck on the lips, no. A hungry, uneven meeting of his lips to hers that draws her hands from his shoulder to his hair. A kiss that wanders from her lips to her chin to her throat, until finally he pulls back, smirking that same cocky smirk as he presses his forehead against hers once again.
"Strong enough to stop there..." He manages at a pant.
