Hazel made her slow nervous way through The Grill. She had some money – she sometimes did chores to help the neighbors and they gave her money for it. She had been hoping to save the money to buy a stuffed animal, but she was hardly eating at home lately, her parents just gave her little leftovers. She was always dizzy and hungry and since she had about twenty dollars she figured that would be enough to get something to eat. She reached a counter and looked around nervously. Was this the right place for her to order? She noticed a man sitting in a higher up chair at the counter. Swallowing nervously she said, “Excuse me sir? Is this the right place to order food?” She felt out of place here, so small and alone. Her mom and dad would never take her out to eat, so she was really anxious about asking for what she wanted. She almost wanted to leave and go back home.

 Most people go through their every day life, and accept things at face value. They never really take the time to test things’ validity. However paranoid it seems, they should. Someone walks down the street, they can see dozens of faces, and among those dozens of faces could be a killer, a monster. Although, that person would not bat an eye if that same killer or monster smiled to them or told them hello. And among those monsters was someone brand new to the town.

   Her name was Ziva David, and as kind and friendly as she was to everyone she crossed paths with, no one ever knew that by night, she would find one of Mystic Falls’ citizens and allow them to become her sustenance. However, the game would soon change when the Israeli hybrid walked into the Mystic Grill, in search of her next meal.
