Cornelia doesn’t believe she’s a good person deep down. She joined the Wardens in hopes she could do some good with her life even if it was dramatically shortened but honestly she could have stopped a Blight single-handed and she still wouldn’t feel worthy of calling herself a good person. Also, she’s lived with the fact she will die young a long time now so the thought of her dying young does not scare her like it would most people.
So sorry to her loved one attempting to save her but she’s resigned herself to her fate.

Cornelia pulled back to stare at him for a moment, her mind trying to wrap around both what he'd confessed to and the insane statement that had followed it up.
How exactly they had gotten to this line of conversation was slightly hazy. It was just the two of them in the Meditation room. She'd been resting against his chest, content to talk about everything and nothing at the same time. At some stage he'd started talking about Illario and the more he said, the more concerned she had become.
