I'm good! working on some TADC fanart rn ^w^

I made Ragatha and Jax pieces so I'm making a Pomni one to complete the trio! I'm very excited, it's in the sketching stage atm, I'm only 1 hr into it, but I'm taking a quick tumblr break before continuing. I want to use yellow in the background but the others have rather dark bckgrounds, so I still have to figure out how to make them look good together. But I pretty much know what I want to do for the composition, so at least that part's going well so far! That's a relief after lowkey struggling w the composition in my Ragatha drawing. This one has Pomni in it and Evil Pomni, which is making me rlly happy bc EP is a fun character who I love, and this piece will be much less angsty than the other two. Poses for the characters are proving to be something of an issue, I pretty much know what I want since I'm using a reference, but poses are just hard for me. so is Pomni's anatomy tbh, I keep trying to find a happy medium between her chibi-fied proportions and my artstyle, butttt I think we're getting there.

In fandoms in general I don't really pay attention to actors, so I don't have favorites, I tend to pay more attention to the writing of characters than the acting just by default, even though both add just as much of the needed detail that makes a character fun to watch or believable. Maybe It's because I read novels so frequently before ever getting seriously into any shows or something, who knows.

What I will say for the acting in MBAV, is that every actor matches the energy of the writing imo. As in, when I first rewatched the show I was thinking about how over-the-top some of the writing is and how that adds to the show being interesting and memorable. I just rewatched an episode again while scripting my youtube video on it, and in doing so I noticed that all the actors are doing just as much, there's some intentionally cheesy over-acting that fits the comedy style of the show but which stays consistent during non-comedy scenes as well. While I don't often pay any special attention to the acting on a show, I'm glad to have at least realized how well the acting style and writing style fit together. This is probably a far more obvious detail than I'm making it out to be since tone and facial expression are things I gloss over just as much IRL, but it's still an important one and I'm glad to have realized it because of how much work was put into making the show as fun to watch that it is.

he said he was a dog person years, saying its because he loves playing outside with dogs. this is a lie, it's at least partly because he was scared of cats. Grandma adopts a baby black and white cat she found outside, and it immediately decides to attach itself to Benny 24/7, much to his annoyance. this probably leads to him going to school with a cat sitting on his head ("not the hair!") or on his shoulder ("ow! clawsszzz!") until he and the cat eventually become besties. Grandma decides Benny should train with the cat as a familiar, and the first step is to name it, which means it's forever stuck with whatever silly nickname Benny gave it when he first saw it.
