I’ve been trying to record mine, but they always end up super blurry and laggy. I was wondering if it’s because you have a gaming laptop or a powerful graphics card, or if there’s something else I’m missing.

i got a new pc a few months ago and i have to admit that for the sims im really good on the graphics card/performance side, so maybe the pc does play a big role too. i use OBS to record with the settings on the highest quality and my in game settings are maxed out as well

for editing, i mostly use capcut and export everything in the highest resolution possible. if it’s lagging WHILE you’re recording then it might be that your pc is struggling to handle the game + recording at the same time </3 don’t hesitate to lower your graphics settings a little if it’s too much for your pc! but if the quality becomes blurry or laggy after recording it could be related to the app you’re using or the export settings. i know for example that the sims’ in game camera quality is really bad 😭

hi!!!! honestly i only started posting not that long ago so i’m probably not the best person to ask😭but i think the most important thing is to make content you would enjoy watching

don’t let the stats get to you either, the algorithms are honestly so weird.. one post can flop and the next one can randomly do really well. i also feel like the sims community is super supportive, so i don’t think you’ll ever feel alone!! i’ve also noticed that the more consistently you post the better it tends to work although im unfortunately not very consistent myself..

AND ALSO don’t forget the reason why you wanted to start posting!! do it because you love creating and sharing your ideas, not just because of the numbers. it’s easy to get caught up in views and stats, but don’t let it become something that stresses you out or takes over your personal life. remember to have fun with it <3 i’m sure that if people can feel how much you love what you do, you’ll slowly grow and find people who appreciate your content! just take your time and enjoy the process.

my advice probably isn’t the best since i’m still pretty new to this and everything is still quite new for me too but i really hope you decide to go for it!! i’d genuinely love to see your content, and thank you so much for your kind message!! 🫶🏻
