Maribel's birthday was in a few days and Anny knew just what to get her. She knew her sister so well that anything cute or fancy would make her so happy and light up like the sun. Anny drove to the mall and went to Maribel's favorite place to buy shoes. She had a little money left from her and Dimitri's road trip and she bought the sparkly flats her sister had been saving up for weeks to buy. Anny was just on her way out and stopped in the food court to get a smoothie before leaving.

Anny had spent over 3 months with Doctor Soto, correcting and fixing J7-23's eyes. It took more than several tries to get the blue prints correct. Struggling with the tiny pieces things broke or melted to the wrong parts. The young student had finally got the pupils of the eyes to constrict with the light. They were a pretty nice blue color and with a tweak here and there they tinted a bit of a green depending on the light. She didn't know how she did it, but she figured out how to program them to become blood shot if the bot got tired or needed charging. Maybe even a few adjustments to the bot's eye lids she could get tear ducts in and wire them to cry and water. Some last maladjustments here and there... and that was it!
"Doctor Soto?" the red head grinned. "I think these are ready to be programmed in!"

Anny shut the door to her car and walked around to help Maribel take her giant tray of cupcakes out of the trunk. Anny let herself in after holding the door for her sister. She looked around at so many people she didn't know and a very few she did.
"CUPCAKES WOOH!"
"Uhhm-" a few people were already taking cupcakes off Maribel's tray, this surprised her but she smiled and held out the tray so they could take some.
"Guys, can you wait till she puts it down please, so she doesn't drop them?" Anny asked, being as polite as she could. "She worked really hard on them!"
